Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the Cancer Support Community Atlanta?
The Cancer Support Community Atlanta is an organization that offers free, professionally led programs to support people facing cancer. Our home-like facility provides support groups, educational workshops, healthy lifestyle classes, and social activities. We offer nutrition programs, gentle exercise classes, social activities, and the opportunity for extended discussions with leading physicians during our education forums. Our programs are for people who have been diagnosed with cancer, their loved ones, and caregivers. Recently we expanded our calendar of events and now offer series designed specifically for children to support them in their unique journey with cancer in their lives.
We are the Atlanta affiliate of the world’s largest organization providing psychosocial oncology programs, allowing all of our offerings to be of the highest quality. We have also been chosen as a partner with Northside Hospital, providing support to each of the patients who are treated at the three Northside Hospital campuses.
What is the cost? How are your programs funded?
All programs are offered free of charge and our facility has free parking for everyone who comes to our classes. This is possible only through the generous contribution from our community partners like Northside Hospital, and individuals and companies who contribute to our organization.
