The Cancer Support Community Atlanta has been chosen by Northside Hospital to host its upcoming Oncology Nursing Retreat in October. The event, which will serve as both a training opportunity and a team building retreat, is the first event of its kind for Northside Hospital. Activities will include demonstrations of the Cancer Support Community Atlanta’s yoga, nutrition, and support programs, as well as presentations led by Northside Hospital’s prominent physicians and medical staff. Topics will include “Emotional Health for the Oncology Nurse”, discussions about death and dying, spiritual care, and the influence nurses have on oncology patients.

For many of the nurses in attendance, this will be their first experience with the Cancer Support Community Atlanta and will give them an even greater insight into the value programs offered at CSC Atlanta will have on the patients they refer.
